Articles + social media = very good things will happen, ONLY if the articles are really good quality though!
Hi, some really good advice here, many thanks everyone. I've set the commission to 46.5% currently - does that sound okay? The articles and social media is interesting, I'm thinking I might create a facebook page and post articles there, then run a facebook ad campaign - has anyone tried that and got good results?
Just about everything I read here is centered around activities, submit to article directories, SEO, Craig's List, social media, affiliate tools and the list goes on. All of these are good but one thing missing, passion. You have to show passion. Create a desire in people to connect with You and they will be more likely to buy your wares.
I would suggest you to go for banner marketing, both paid and social, a kind of banner that shows your product features / offer / services and put a link there there in the banner for your affiliate signup, that banner will work both for your product marketing and will also convey your message for affiliate signup as people are interested to know about the products first, rather than the profit you are providing.
On your blog add social sharing buttons and invite your visitors to share your information. I get some good traffic from these on a couple of my sites. If you use Wordpress just search social sharing in the plugins.
As an affiliate myself. I want to see proof that your ebook sells. Heres what you do. Start marketing the product yourself and document everything. Show people how well your landing page is made and how easy your offer is to sell. This will get a lot of people interested in selling your product. Nobody wants to waste their time trying to promote a product that won't sell because of a bad landing page. Work on getting that converting as high as possible and once you have the results its time to show people how easy it was to make money with your product. Show them the campaign and give them the keywords if you don't mind. Give them ideas on how they can scale and like other people have said give them tools and banners. Make it as easy as possible for people to promote you product. I would also look at your competition in the niche your in. It's a big one. Look at competitors payouts and see if you can afford to give your affiliates a better payout to get them to at least test sell your offer. Would you rather have 10 people selling your ebook at 50% or 1,000 people at 75%. These are all things you need to test and work on. The easy part is over and that was creating your ebook. The hard part is now getting people interested in selling it. Give them a reason to promote your product out of the hundreds of weight loss products already out there. Good luck.
Besides giving your affiliate excellent tools(banners, etc) to promote your website, make sure your sales page convert. And it all starts with good copy. Can you do copywriting? If not i suggest you invest in either learning how to write copy or hire a copywriter, which could be expensive.
