Newb question regarding Quality Score

Okay so I setup a page this morning and had one bar of text links for AdSense and the rest was filled with content.

This morning I was doing fine with max bid of around .05 cents per keyword and .20 for one keyword. I was fine with that.

After leaving it going for a few hours, I decided I had enough for today. I then went back into my AdWords account and now the keywords are at $5.00 min bid and $10.00 for the other keyword that was last .20 cents.

Is this due to my landing page having Google AdSense on it? If so, why didn't this change take place earlier? Thanks for helping a n00b out.

G does judge your landing page's appearance for QS, and I've often wondered the same thing. A solid block of AdSense at top almost certainly is a sign that this is arbi (not saying this is what you're doing, though). It would be easy enough for the bots...just find a lot of javascript high up on the page...
