NewB question about the number of ads were allowed to run!

First off, when we type the word "ford Mustang" in google about a month ago, our site wouldn't show up until the very end of the list, after adding this, our site is now listed on the first page with that turm!

Anywase, I am only running 1 add. If I were to put the other 4 in, would it hurt my "ford Mustang" add or would it bennifit it more?

I think he was referring to you showing 5 network ads on your site, not you having 5 ads floating through the network.

hmm...a bit confused now ;) I already have 5 adds located in my site, I was just reffering to having 5 different adds floating though the network. ;)

Like my first add: Ford Mustang, Second: Saleen Mustang, third: Performance Parts, and so on

    Ahh - so in that case . . .

The weight that you can give each ad is 1 to 5. The weight is relative to other ads so setting up five ads with a weight of 5 is the same as 5 ads with a weight of 1.

It all depends on what you are targeting really. If you want to target different sets of keywords, then go for it. You might want to check the keyword suggestion tool to see which keywords are most searched, then focus on the top 1 or 2 of those.

Not sure I understand that, so I hope you can help me out a little.

Here is what I have right now:
Ford mustang Weight of 1 linking to: http://www.muscle-mustangs.com
2005 Mustang weight of 2 linking to: http://muscle-mustangs.com/2005-ford-mustang.php
Saleen Mustang weight of 3 linking to: http://muscle-mustangs.com/2005-mustang-saleen.php
Performance Parts weight of 4 linking to: http://muscle-mustangs.com/index.php?cPath=48
Mustang weight of 5 linking to: www.muscle-mustangs.com

Do I have this set up right or should I delete or modifiy some of them?? I have no ideal what the weight of 1-5 means, so I just used one of each lol

    THanks for your help :)

that means that "Mustang" gets displayed 5 times as much as "Ford mustang", "2005 Mustang" gets displayed twice as much, "Saleen Mustang" gets displayed 3 times as much, and "Performance Parts" gets displayed 4 times as much.

    It's really up to you.

Say your ads get displayed 1500 times.

A weight of 1 will get displayed 100 times
    2 gets displayed 200 times
    3 gets displayed 300 times
    4 gets displayed 400 times
    5 gets displayed 500 times.

You could throw up only 1 ad, and that will get displayed 1500 times, or you can split it up how you have done it. The more ads, the less each ad gets displayed. The more weight towards a particular ad, the more that ad gets displayed in relation to others. If you gave them all the same weight, you end up splitting time equally amongst the ads.

I would focus on one or two KW phrases for now. Build your rakings on those first.
