Hello Folks, I am a huge tennis fanatic and player and would like to start blogging on tennis. I have a huge library of video clips on just about every top tennis player from 2000-2007 or so. All of the clips are original content shot with my own camera at various tournaments. I plan on having affiliate links to make commissions on the back end. My question is this. How would you guys use the videos to build up traffic and a possible list of subscribers? Thanks for your expertise!
If you really have the quality of content that you say you do, start a blog/site/community with a forum and make it a paid service, with the large library of videos as part of the incentive to join. Put up some good original content- articles/pics/posts etc, then promote the site. Use advertising space on the site for things like tennis gear from affiliate programs from sport stores or ebay, and clickbank products like "how to put 20 mph on your serve" or something like that.
You could also put a 1 or 2 minute teaser of each video on youtube and at the end of the clip have a link to your site where they can watch the full video (as long as they sign up). Kindest regards, Andrew Cavanagh
Use them on youtube to draw traffic to your blog. Just use a watermarking program to add your site name on it and on about half of them cut them a little shot and say something to the extent of "Youtube only lets us show this much of the video, for the full length version and others like it visit www.domain.com. I've had great success doing advertising like this on my own. Goodluck!
I agree RE clips onto youtube. The amount of free traffic available here is pretty awesome, I'd actually pay to submit my branded clips here
