hello, here is my opinion: 1. Appearance: 3: it's ok, so quite simple, the top menu navigation not display correctly in my Chrome . 2. Content: 3 3. Ads: 3: the top and the left ads quite ok, i don't know if you should add ads in the article or not, should try overal: i think it quite ok, but not really attractive enough.
1. Appearence. 2 - I'd say it's very simple and basic. I think you should have darker text if you're going to use that white background too. 2. Content. 3 3. Ads. 2 - I think they should be more subtle, otherwise it's all people will see on the page, and visitors shouldn't think that this site is created solely for advertisement.
replace your two duplicate menus with one nice menu right under your header image so it is big and bright and readable
Appearance - The navigation is not incredibly eye-catching. Perhaps you could increase the font size and put a divider between the main body and the right navigation bar? It's too simple and weak. As for the top navigation bar, it doesn't mesh -I didn't even notice it until I was on the site for a few minutes...I think it'd be better to put a navigation bar at the bottom, instead. Content - The content is pretty good. To develop it, try writing a lengthy article for the larger attractions and feature one attraction per page. You should get more views this way. Then, link all the relevant types of attractions together. Eventually, you can develop it more and write content like "5 Must See Exhibits At X Museum", etc. 3. Ads - The ads for the majority of pages are fine. As for the front page, I would suggest getting rid of the leaderboard and inserting a large rectangular ad inline with the text and off to the right. It may be a little overwhelming to new visitors landing on the front page. A large rectangle to the right will still be noticeable, without turning people off.
I dont know about the ad below the main banner. it throw off the balance of the site. looking clean and professional
1. I give the site appearance about 3. I would get rid of the advertisement or move it all the way to the bottom of the page. Consider making the image of New York smaller or incorporating the title with the image. Also the green bar above does not seem to blend well with your theme, maybe try a gray or something that agrees with a color wheel ? 2. I give the site content about 4. Vary informative but the gray font is a slightly painful to read. 3. Again get rid of annoying banner at the top and keep the side advertisements.
Appearance: 3 It's a pretty basic design, which i have no problem with but if you really want it to stand out, you might need something a little more colorful. Content: 4 A good amount content and plenty of information Ads and their Placement: 2 Not as many ads as i was expecting but the ones that there are pretty well placed a few more of them wouldn't hurt.
