NEW Yahoo! update? Again..

Again Y! performing search engine update. For me it is more devastating than Charlie. I lost almost all of my sites indexed pages this night. This is not fun, at all.


I also checked some other sites in search results. Same thing.

 

Huh? any confirmation on this? I don't see anything on Yahoo blog

I am not surprise at all .. their search results have been really crappy these last 6 months. It's like a typhoon has plundered their database and search algorithm

 

There's actually an update. All my sites got hit. I guess that may be an anti-over-optimized anchor text update
edit: DP tool shows different results than the ones I see. Hope this is temporary.

 

Yup, I got hit with a bullet as well. It seems like an update is going.

I noticed that this started about 24h ago. Strange, I never have chance to be happy with Y updates.

I checked results for a fiew keyword. Results are down by 70-90% (number of finded results on web).


For me it is updating.

 

Really none of my sites are coming with any word in yahoo. Infact those sites which rank high on google are also not anywhere in yahoo.. what is going on....

 

All Yahoo search are down! Try any keywrds: I try for fiew. Results: 2000 (was over 500.000) also, after fiew first pages results are strange.

I allready lost big income in july. This is devastating! And what is the point of this?

Also, try to "dig" from sites found on results (more from this site): only a fiew pages are indexed. I try on 5-10...

 

Is this a temporary problem or a permanent update?

 

I guess the current SERPs are based on a tiny chunk of the whole index. That's the cause of the wierd results. Maybe it's an update, maybe Yahoo has some technical issues. I guess it is temporary.

 

same happened with us my site was coming on no 1 now its coming on 8-9 position

 

It shows that I have 9 links total in Yahoo down from few thousands!

Indexed pages, link popularity, all seem to have dropped.
Anyone gained from this update?

 

I've lost a lot from this "update". Some keywords are gone, others lost about 70 positions... All those were #1 in Yahoo! and are still #1 in Google.

 

I believe you should all stop whining and watch the latest evolution of this Y! update. Losing pages in the index and all those symptoms are typical signs of an update. Wait for a few days and we'll better see the upshot of this new algo.

p.s. lost a million backlinks on my online affiliate shop since yesterday if that's what you want to hear

 

The Yahoo update has really hit my sites hard!

Almost all my Yahoo keywords that were in the top 100 have dissappeared.

Yahoo is becoming increasingly crazy with updates after updates in the space of a few months...

It is becoming the most volatile search engine at the moment. My surviving pages from the last update has now disappeared from the ranks. Yahoo .. it sounds so jolly .. but it sure is very cruel!

 

It was really weird.

There were some keywords that went up that I really wouldnt have expected to go up.

 

hmm.. I am increasingly made to believe that Yahoo is now starting to show that it hates Adsense. Are they trying to tell us " It's the Adsense, Stupid!".

There sure aren't any Adsense on the sites that currently hold top positions for my site's keyword ( unless it's a well established site with lots of incoming links )

What do you guys think?
