New Windows Live Messenger Beta!

Not sure how many of you have heard about it, but Microsoft has released a new Windows Live Messenger Beta lately.

How many of you have downloaded it and what are your opinions?

 

I stray away from microsoft and beta things... even the stuff they sell now is buggy, and god knows what the beta is like xD... i hope it adds more smileys than the current one though ^^

 

Although some of the icons have changed, there is no new smileys unfortunately.

But did you see at file size , jumped from 15mb to 135mb :O

 

Yeah, it took a lot longer than I expected to download and install it.

I wonder why theres such a giant increase?

 

i dont like it at all, dunno why its just to fiddly and to much going on

 

Size is big because it has these features.

I am sorry, I made this screenshot after installing Mail Beta & Messenger, thats why required size is 98MB, If you will install all, it will take about 132MB.

I love this interface & style. I am using this from this last 1hour & didn't find any bug yet. I noticed 1 thing, that it guide you if link/URL send by other is safe or not. I tried this very much & found this amazing. Every time, it give correct results.

If I will find any bug, I will post that here. But again, I am much happy with its Interface & Style.

 

The interface looks cooler now, but I will still stick with YM as my choice.

 

The new feature will take more memory and resource of my poor computer. I prefer the old version as long as it could be login and chat with my friends.

This doesn't take much load. Its same as v8

 

Haven't downloaded the beta. I will wait for the debugged version.

 

I am downloading now but the interface looks way better and I expect to be happy with this. Live messenger has and always has been the best chat program. YM is too out of date and boring. AIM is the same but not so much as YM I suppose.

 

Why is it taking too much for me to download the program, it's hung at 36 % and doesn't move.

Installation doesn't appear to be working for me. I get something along the lines of 'Messenger communication platform has stopped working', whenever I'm signing in..

That might be becuase I had Messenger Plus installed. BTW, does it work with Messenger Plus?

 

May be, But I didn't found any type error, (Installation, Signing in, or any other). Messenger is running very smooth at my end. I upgraded from Windows Live Messenger 9 Beta

 

I use trillian, msn aim yahoo irc n 1 app

features specific to each msgr hardly ever work but i only want them to communicate with.

 

Yup Style & interface is very Cool, i also like it, and did not find any bug, its working Perfectly on my side..

 

i heard about the new windows live is coming, its called windows live suite
