Hello, i own a .net domain that i dont use yet, and in the whois information for that domain my personal details are displayed, i wonder what the risk would be with this and how can i remove my personal details from there and replace them with for example the name of webpage ? if it's even possible.

    EDIT:
Lawn at the topic... was supposed to be .net ;)

Like suggested above, you could buy private registration, but there's not much "risk" associated with displaying your info.

The only real risk you run by having your info up is the occasional scammer asking for an appraisal or a little bit of extra spam.

Your only option of hiding this information is to, as mentioned above, buy domain privacy, which normally costs anywhere from $2-10 per year, depending on your registrar.

That information is there for a reason. Whatever you do, do not falsify it, as that is grounds for your domain to be claimed.
