New websites and adding adsense

    How long do you guys usually wait on new websites to add adsense? I currently have an account for my other website, but I think I should wait six months, so it lessens my risk of being banned. I also don't have any traffic on this website so far.

    Wait or do it now?

    My habit--I don't wait. And why will adsense ban us if we put ads right away without waiting on new sites. Is there any rule like this.

    No, but I think it looks shady to Google. After you have an adsense account you can add it to any website that follows the TOS including the add of their terms to your website.

    I'm not 100% on if it's shady, but Google probably knows everything.

    @ masimf do you have any adsense luck with your site. I have one traveling site too.

    @ sarachris your site look like made for adsense :) do you have any luck with that

    sarachris, isn't it risky to place all your adsense units above the fold? You must have extremely high CTR...

    Your site must have valuable content. If you have this content on your site you have already: vistitors and no problem with adsense. :D
