New website, should we filter competition ?

    Hello.

We run a very new classified ads website. Most of the ads from adsense are ... other classified ads in our country.

What do you think ? Should we filter them ? Or wait and do that later, or even never do it ?

    Thanks

I only filter some major sites, like ebay, amazon, shopping, ...
Don't filter them if you just want to get rid of low paying sites.

I'd assume a majority of them will be direct competitors. I like cheapez idea: filtering major sites.

ALL of them are direct competitors, most of them have specific ads (like a car classified website). And also they pay very low.

    You should filter your competition.

It's stupid to see a domain registrar displaying another registrar's site on Adsense text ad.

I have one site that is attracting alot of new traffic from my efforts in marketing, SEO etc ... the ads that are showing are from the big competition in this area, but they are also paying very well for the clicks. I've filtered some of the new startups but left the big boys there, figuring they're known anyway.

    I filter no one.
It is harder to get ads and compettition is tough already.
Let it be for what it is worth i say.

Or adsense bot has a hard time coming up with ads, thus the increase in public ads showing for most.

Then I guess you should try filtering them, and see the results.
