well first let me say that my new website got indexed by google in a very short amount of time, I have two pages of content, one articles title is fish oil for dogs the other page is benefits of fish oil, now when you type fish oil for dogs into google, my page is on the third page, just trying to gauge if this is a good rank for a 3 day old site. Next question, is that since I'm using blogger it will show my website's whole title before the individual page title, wondering if this may cause problems? Thanks for reading everyone!
It's a branding preference, some prefer to always have their title first then post name, others prefer it vice versa, it's all up to you and what you're trying to accomplish
Getting indexed in 5 hours is really fast. I got my website indexed by google in a week or two after creating it.
Being a subsidiary of google, blogs created on blogger are known to get indexed fairly quickly....all the time! The real task begins now...of ranking high up in serps after the indexing is suitably achieved. Be sure, it would require a lot amount of time and effort, than what you have put in...uptill now. Regards, RightMan
its normal I thing... So site indexing quickly some taking long time ... indexing all site is taking time... my some sites nearly 1 yr but allll page not yet indexed....the secret is unknown...........
Its cleared uptil now that quick indexing resulted bcoz of google owns blogger...any ways it can be also achieved by either ways within 10-15 minutes (social bookmarking, yahoo answers, forum sigs etc) As Right man said, real task is a 'ranking'...new sites always enjoy top rankings for a while for even competitive keywords..its like a free pass for them but after a while those are thrown back in SERPs...the journey from there to top is termed as SEO!
Its really normal when you are using blogger, When using the blogger you will quickly get indexed . I have my music site get indexed quickly when I'm using blogger.
It's not just Blogger getting indexed fast. Google is just getting so much quicker. I registered a domain yesterday and launched the site at 2.32pm. Submitted a sitemap and Googlebot came by within a couple of hours. Then I got my first search engine hit from Google at 7.19pm. Less than 5 hours from start to finish. The site is just a regular site, not a blog or on Blogger so there are no pings going anywhere except for the sitemap.xml file.
Google also pick up posts from our blog which is a word press blog within an hour sometimes and even goes into search results within 3 hours. I wish they would update my webiste new pages as quickly. Saying that they update some more quickly than others.
The services which are using Pinging services including the blogs, and especially the Wordpress pages are really very cool to create because sometimes you might not believe how fast they go online after being created.
Blogs tends to get indexed faster into google because of pinging service. For blogspot, it'll automatically pinged to google whenever you published a new post.
