Hi Guys I have just bought a website and the domain is hosted a GoDaddy; But do I need to host it somewhere as well (are they the same thing)? (I have another website where the domain is at Godaddy and hosted at 'Everyman'). I cant remember how I did it before? Sorry, I'm a sausage. Also does Adsense need to be transfered from old owner? Any help would be muchly appreciated. Thanx
Godaddy are providing the web hosting as well. you don't need to host it at another host. IM me if you need a detailed help
If it turns out that Go Daddy are not hosting and it is just a domain name there; Then you may visit our website @ http:/www.rsdarkness.com/ And purchase a cost effective website hosting package, and have the domain name transferred. Good Luck Mate, ~ Mike
If you want to host your domain somewhere else other then godaddy change your nameservers in your account with godaddy to what ever your web host's nameservers are. e.g. ns1.hostname.com and ns2.hostname.com
I prefer hosgator for my hosting needs. If you need to change servers then go into godaddy and then into account settings then go into DNS settings and finally change your server address. You'll get the server address in the intro email when you sign up for hostgator. Hostgator is $10 a month and is very reliable.
