Hey, I just got up my first site and have adsense running on it. What're some good ways to start advertising it?
Add the site to your sigs, buy some links/blog posts, comment on other blogs using your URL, social bookmark sites like digg.com reddit.com del.icio.us That's all I can list.
Also try word of mouth. Tell your friends and get them to tell their friends. This does depend on your site content, if it is boring or technical it probably won;t work. But if it is fun or entertaining then it's a really good option.
Post a lot in this forum until u earn the privilege to add siggy.. Add yr site in siggy. Also google for forum that similar interest with your site and spread the news about your new site. If they got section of 'Please review' then it even better.. Just go there and write a story about your site.. Cheers! Sha

i would try it at mywallst.net... i see a bunch of people advertising through it. and, it's a good social networking site, and the "rookie challenge" looks tempting.
Where do you buy pr6 links. i have jus set up a new shopping directory website and am still working on it but it is currently online. and would love to know where to buy such links suitable for my online shopping directory site

u should better buy links form sites related to shopping! even pr5 shopping site backlink is better than irrevelant pr6 link dont forget!
