    Hi everyone

I've now built two websites and have learnt the basics 'on the fly'. Tell me how you learnt and what tools if any you use.

    My first website is www.bamzooki.org.uk

    My Second website is www.cavaliermailing.com

They look pretty good, Good Luck and Godspeed on the "Web Designer" front. Anyone with a $30 book and frontpage call themselves a web designer anymore, my advice...get an angle. :) Welcome to DP!

Many thanks PaleSpyder - I built these just to prove I could do it. Having sold websites for a company for a while (previous job) I thought I'd put what I'd learnt in terms of content, functionality, most wanted response into action.

Well done, Canarywooolf! I really like your work already.

I started by using notepad and tutorials at Codepunk for a couple of month's. It was good because they also stress the importance of CSS and therefore I got going right from the begining using it.

I started using Dreamweaver after playing with stuff for about a year. I mostly used free trials of softwares, and for graphics I cut my teeth on PaintShopPro.

I just did tutorials - every time I wanted to do something, I would search for tutorials and just do them!

I also started cut and pasting javascript not long after I had started learning, I wanted tricks and effects on pages, LMAO!

Sorry, though, I am a Leeds United fan, but maybe Norwich and Leeds could both go up!!! I live in canada, all my life, but a friend, when I was growing up, from England got me interested in British Football. It is my favourite sport.

    Do you play football?

Nice sites, though, keep up the excellent work :O)))

    Thank mikmik
I tend to use Photoshop CS and GoLive. I don't play football anymore but my two boys do. England have just made it into the World Cup which is great - can we bring back the spirit of 1966?????

I'm doing well in the search engines but would love to get my PR up - (is only zero on www.bamzooki.org.uk)

Leeds are OK but like a lot of clubs they have got serious financial troubles. Only the best teams in the Premier League have got money in the bank.

Do you know the offside rule :D
