New ways of promoting a site ?

    what can be the new ways of promoting a site ?

    we have heard about dir. and article submissions, social bookmarking, forums, press releases etc.

    Tell me what can be the new ways ?
    has anybody had success with article-exchange ?

    well maybe not a new way but one of the methods would be offering
    free e-book downloads on your website and harvesting a subscriber list
    so that you can send regular newsletters and updates.

    offfline promotion also works like bumper stickers t shirts etc...

    The best way to promote a site is by word of mouth

    You will have to make your site sticky

    hhhmm, new ways??? offer pdf files of your site so that people can download your sites and read them Offline. I can't think of new ways, its just an idea I've read here in DP, I can't remember the thread, anyway, I'll be watching this thread. =)
