Yahoo Answers is one of the best way to build backlinks, search for your niche over there and answer as many questions you can put your website link in source, this helps in gaining backlinks, Many web owners use this way to get traffic. Yeah, they're nofollow, so not worth the time if you're doing it for PR, however, I could see the benefit in extra traffic if you leave enough of your links across many questions. Would be a simple source of side traffic.
Bingo. I tested this method out myself by answering around one question every twenty seconds for five minutes and got a few uniques. Doubt they'd be too targeted, though.
A small boost in targeted traffic maybe, but the nofollow tag puts an end to any hopes of building backlinks. An easier way to build more backlinks is to keep posting on DP
If your response gets chosen as best answer you can get a fair amount of traffic from it. Although the links are no follow yahoo answers ranks pretty well in SERPS itself so you are getting indirect search engine traffic.
Yahoo answers are no follow and don't provide much SEO benefit. If you however have a pretty specialized niche, you can over time see some traffic benefits though.
i'm not sure how great it is from the backlink point of view but we do get some traffic from Y! answers.. plus it's targeted traffic so even better. the only thing is you can't use a bot or blind copy paste to do it if you want to get results.. your post has to have something related to the questio.
Yahoo Answers is too much work. I would rather use a social bookmarking list and get some traffic/backlinks at the same time. The traffic quality is worse then Yahoo Answers, but the complete SEO benefit is better.
