Hello, I just got a new laptop yesterday, it is a Dell Studio laptop with Windows Vista on it. Today when i was turning it on, it started making a loud, continuous, beeping noise. If anyone knows what this might be it would be very helpful.
I've never had this issue before. I would recommend contacting your manufacturer right away about this issue. I doubt it's an issue with Vista, it's most likely an issue with your laptop.
The beeping noise during the start is usually associated with RAM. Either your ram card is faulty or loosely connected. Regards, RightMan
I had some beeping noises on a Dell laptop I got a year ago. Battery wasn't low, but I took it out and recharged, and then put it back in and everything ran smoothly then on.
Continuous beeping sound have something to do with hardware. Better send it back to the service center as you still have a warranty.
Actually it could be caused by any one of a number of reasons. Hopefully you didn't get it off eBay, and you can return it to the retailer and demand a solution.
I really don't know why its sounding like that. I have never encountered such problem. Better have it checked.
well it stopped after i turned it on, i got it at best buy, so I'm gonna call them, see whats up with it. The issue only happened once.
Either the fan or one of the other hardware pieces. Had the same problem with my old laptop, but the makers (not Dell) refuses to fix it. Assholes.
Ok like i said before everything works, I just need peoples advice, should i still call them about it, or just forget about it, since everything is fine now.
i would call them, might be a hardware error (disk, ram,..) while booting check wether any errors are reported
