My calling card showed me it had $5.60 left, and after I spoke for about 35 minutes with my mom in India, suddenly it just beeped to an end and died! My calling rate is supposed to 7 cents per minute, so this was definitely fishy. I called up the calling card company and they said that an additional tax and service rent, and blah blah had been charged. This was ridiculous!! I decided to surf the internet for something that will not dupe consumers like this and I found this cool cost calculator on the website of a calling card called PC04NRI which calculates the cost of your call if you put in your time and the phone you will be calling for. All you need to do then, if you like the rates (which, by the way are cheapest I have found till now) is to buy the plan they suggest and call India at that cost. It’s unbelievable!
