New Users/FAQ Section

Hey all, my question is why can't I post in the Buy/Sell/Trade forum?

LOL, just kidding, I read through all the post titles in this section to make sure what I wasn't suggesting wasn't already asked and I noticed you guys get asked that question like 10 gajillion times. I love people who can't read.

Anyway, I did find one post that sort of mentioned what I wish to suggest, although not exactly. http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=1255430

My suggestion is to create either a new users section or a FAQ section (the function would be pretty much the same)

The purpose of it would be to post answers to frequently asked questions, as well as guides and tutorials that have been judged by the community as valuable to new users. I think this would help declutter the regular sections.

The reason I make this suggestion is I myself am a new user. I've been around for a while but haven't really been that active until now, and I'm finding that whether it just be in my head or in reality this forum doesn't really feel like it's welcoming to to people like me who haven't obtained a clue yet. It could just be me projecting that though. But I don't feel comfortable asking stupid questions I know must have been asked 50,000 times before. I feel like i'm intruding on the important discussions between people who know what they're talking about.

In any event I imagine this has already been thoroughly discussed and dismissed before and I just didn't see it while skimming the threads. If that is the case please accept my apologies.

Oh Crap, I almost forgot: regardless of your answer to my request I'd just like to say thanks for doing what you do. I've been a mod before and i know how thankless a job it can be. So thanks again.
