New user, kinda skeptical

I'm new here and have a few question about the site. Been a unregistered lurker off and on for a few months.

I've read the stickies in the relevant forums, I've browsed threads in relevant forums for services I'm looking for. But I see a common pattern.

Couple of decent reviews and then lots of bogus "Gripe", "Scam" posts and when reading the entire thread turns out a big majority of the time it's because the poster hasn't bothered to read the entire first post for all the procedures and terms and is crying wolf without merit.

What protections are there on these forums from these posters? Some of them obviously out right can't read or don't bother to comprehend what they are reading. I understand the need to protect the people on both sides. But it seems to be biased towards the side of the buyer instead of middle ground.

One thread in the "Services > Content" forum had a person complaining because they didn't get paid instantly when submitting payment requests for forum posts that I checked out that matched their user name here and were mostly garbage yet they got paid according to the payment schedule defined in the post for them even though I would have considered them spam and violated the no spam term of the requested service.

Guess I'm just looking for some reassurances from the regulars here that there are some protections against those that I've seen posting who cry wolf to often.

When running any kind of business, you run the risk of people not bothering to read the terms. You do business on DP at your own risk just as you do anywhere else. We do not get involved in private business disputes. If someone leaves a negative review in your thread, it's your option to respond to clarify the situation.
