A friend and I have been working on http://www.priceasite.com for the past six months. A lot of hard work has went into developing the appraisal system, tweaking it to hopefully come up with just about the right value. Several factors are taken into account.

We would like people here on DP to be honest with us and check out the website appraisal system.

Then answer in the poll if our appraisal system appraised your website too high, too low, or if it was in the ballpark. Our appraisal system is unique and uses actual facts that you submit rather than trying to generate something off of automated statistics.

Nice site, good idea. Although you are up againstsome pretty big web flipping forums and sites.
Good marketing should see a good ROI.
    Good luck

Thanks for the compliment. We do realize we have some big competitors, we hope that we have added a few unique features that others don't have that will make it nice for both the buyers and sellers though, such as the risk factor.

You no longer need a username and password to be able to submit the free appraisal. Sorry for the hassle.

Pfff, like i'm going to give you all financial information about my websites...
You're gathering pretty much intel there, who makes how much, what niches are better and what are worse...

Nothing personal, but I consider such "projects" too risky and too suspicious.

Actually nothing on the free appraisal (unless you list your website with us) is being stored in a database. Aside from that, I really don't know how knowing what niche's were most profitable would really impact you. Its the work you put into internet marketing that makes you successful. For example, we all know that DP does quite well financially for Shawn, but it has had little impact on his success.

I tired inputting different Google Page Ranks, 0 and 4, with the same site and details and got the same valuation. - £1662. Is it that PR isn't much of a factor in your site?

P.S. Is it doing the DP style 10x monthly income thing as part of the valuation?

Right now it will alter the appraisal, but it does not affect it too much until you have a higher page rank. For example, there will not be a very big difference in a PR0 and PR3. But there is a large difference between a PR7 and PR9.

We did some studies on how much text links are worth on different PR levels. Until you reach a higher level of PR, you will not see a huge jump in the money generated. Therefore, low PR will have little affect on your appraisal.

Revenue to Overhead ratio will make larger impacts on your appraisal than the PR will.

    Thanks for the input!

I tested my website and it seemed to be in the area. Good idea, you just need some people to list some websites for sale and get traffic in there.

Yep, that is what we are working on here. We are wanting people to check out the website which will hopefully at least bring up the concept to potential sellers and buyers. We also want to make sure that our appraisal system (and risk factor) are as accurate as possible. This will hopefully allow the industry to feel as though we are trustworthy.
