NEW TYPE OF SELLING - Video Sales-Page?

    Hello Everybody!

Lately, I've seen a lot of video sales-pages on Clickbank.
I'm wondering if this is a new marketing trend?

    For example:
    http://www.thedietsolutionprogram.com/BurnFat.aspx

    http://www.fatburningfurnace.com/index.php

    http://www.truthaboutabs.com/ab/

What's interesting is that on most of these sell-pages "add to cart" button is hidden. The "add to cart" button is set to appear ONLY at the end of the video.

    Take a look here
    http://www.thedietsolutionprogram.com/BurnFat.aspx
After 20 minutes or so this button appears:

Has anyone experienced increased conversions by promoting these kind of video sales-pages?

    I would appreciate your comments.
    John

    John,

Would the top CB publishers change their pages so dramatically if they didn't convert better?

I haven't got any experience in this but I can tell you now that these pages convert much better than the previous ones because the publishers have used them. With the type of volumes that TAABS does, I'm sure that he tested for several months to come to the conclusion to change his entire site.

The only problem I don't like with those new sales pages is the way taht you HAVE to watch the video. Would it reeally be that hard to put a link to the next step on there?

I think its an easy way for some publishers. Definitely NOT going to work as good as a nice sales letter.

I think that's the whole point of this strategy - to make it look like an informative website - without any flashy "add to cart" buttons

Yeah but they don't even have a pause button or something

It's really inhibiting to me. If I were a customer I'd get pissed off with the way you're forced to sit down and watch the video. Even just a simple "Next" or "forward" link will be sufficient for most people i think

This is something new to me....

I have used video marketing effectively for years now, mainly youtube with trailers but that was very profitable. I also used videos on LPs to attract the user in. They usually had cool music or something that made the user wanna keep listening so they ended up continuing watching and then converting into a sale xD

I have never seen a sales page like that where its only a video. Personally this seems like it would be a bit of a flop due to heaps of peoples filters, by default, not showing the script that shows videos.

I have only ever seen and used a video thats at the top of the sales page to entice the reader in but it is ALWAYS accompanied by ATLEAST about 500 words of sales text and dotpoints just to recap what was shown in the video or incase the reader skiped over the video :p

In a study a while ago (sorry couldn't find it) it was found that text below a video could sometimes attract a customer that actually skipped the video by them reading a point and then going.... "ooh this is interesting" and then watching the video and BAMN sale :p

yup people like videos nowadays. if the video gets and keeps the viewer's interest. there will be a high chance of the viewer reading through the sales page to find out what the video is all about

Yes I use video on my products, or most of them and it does improve conversions.

Interesting in the way the OP has mentioned with a presentation video and then an "add to cart" button at the end of the video.

Yes I have promoted a few of these as well and has some success, think they had already changed to video pages so nothing to compare it too.

Video works very well in some niches but others not so well IMO.
