That's where it was before, but it was having issues appended to the end of the breadcrumb when it got too long.

    For example: [search=google]cache:http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=574136[/search]

Adjust the width of your browser and you will see what the issue was. It was impossible for it to be consistent... sometimes both were on the same line, sometimes the Facebook button sis under the Tweet button, sometimes the Facebook button wraps to a new line, sometimes both go to a new line, etc.

I will write it big so people see it :

This twitter scrolling box is now the biggest advantage to premium account, on par with sticky sales threads (if you have many items to sell) and better than sticky sales threads if you have a couple of products.

    Please keep it! Thanks

Don't get too excited... as I've said before, it's not an official premium member thing. It may or may not be there tomorrow. And if it *does* stay as a premium member thing, we can fully ban any premium member from using it for advertising/spam.

If writing in big would have been able to push the other voices out there, I would have used a text size same as DP community. Unfortunately (or fortunately) things don't happen this way. JFYI, I am a premium too, as well as an active seller here.

    The poll also says itself.

    @Shawn,
I see. If we are having trouble placing the buttons as of now, I have a few proposed things while keeping the Twitter and Facebook buttons intact (until we find a better place for them):

List ordered by priority. Most prioritized ones at top:

    1. Keep only the buttons - get rid of live feeds completely.
    2. If want to keep the live feeds, at least stop their scrolling. It should be like a random static tweet from the group, just as ads do.
    3. If you even want to keep both the feeds and scrolling, at least provide the option to hide it completely from user control panel. The button to temporarily hide it practically is good for nothing since it is cookies based that gets cleared a numerous times a day, making us constantly click on the button to hide it every time we start browsing the forum again. Instead of cookie based, you can at least make it profile based customization.

There is nothing on our end that clears the setting cookie in your browser. The collapse status cookie has a 10 year duration and is only cleared if you specifically "un-collapse" it. If your cookies are getting reset multiple times per day, I would figure out what is resetting your cookies on your browser and try to fix it...

Does not display ok in IE8, gets lowered under the bottom border, you cant see anything from the tweet.

As for spam, at 75$/6 month i guess there wont be to many spammers, in fact not at all.

I don't like it for twitter, but as for an add on for forums.

Especially for new posts, with it scrolling across the bottom of the screen.

Like sky sports news in UK. Have all new posts scrolling across the bottom instead of having to click, NEW POSTS at the top.

That's me, myself who is resetting them. And it's not just me, but many other internet users/members may have to clear cookies from time to time.

BTW, there were other two options too. :)

If we even hear community's voice, the poll speaks itself. That hints something

Do you know how silly that sounds to me? We give you an option to hide it permanently, but you choose to delete all your cookies so the preference doesn't work, and then it's too difficult to click once on it to close it?

How about having to login back into the forum? That is far more difficult and also necessary if you clear your cookies.

Not unless you know how to use Twitter effectively, it'll be useless to someone like you :)

It looks alright and it's not annoying, and you can hide it if you don't want it.

What about releasing these system(s) as a paid modification to raise extra funds, or maybe as an added benefit for premium membership subscribers here at Digital Point?
