Hi I am trying to understand how twitter works and have a few questions. As far as I can tell with twitter you get an account were you post tweets sharing what you are doing. You follow others with twitter accounts who you know or are interested in and they follow you. I thought by following people I would get some kind of email when people I follow posted new tweets but none have come. Maybe you don't get an email every time someone you follow ads a comment or is there some other way of keeping up with what the people you are following are saying After signing up I started getting notifications frome people who now are following me. Sometimes I became of of their followers after getting an email telling me they were following me and I wanted to write back so I hit reply to send a thanks letter. After looking in my sent email box the sent email looked like the ones in the list below so I do not think anyone would read something like that so I stopped. Dose it do any good to send a reply. Perhaps I should have changed the titles Someone please explain this to me By telling me the basics. I could not get the email samples in here but they all said no reply and the senders title I just am not sure how to reply to people telling me they are following me ir even if it can be done.
