Hello, I'm Andrew and I'm new to SEO.
I was doing pretty well just going through google searching my keywords, for example Chocolate:"Blog", but I'm currently in a slump. Can someone help me out and tell me what direction I should go?
    Thanks,
    Andrew

Sorry about not giving enough detail. I'm trying to bring up the site www.vendingsystems.com on google. So I've been google searching my keywords and going through, e-mailing the hosts of each site. I've gotten some link juice, but nothing substantial. What way are you finding the most beneficial way of gaining link juice and getting a top of google?

try swapping links on DP I am sure someone will have the niche you want to, even buying links from other sites for a few months will make a difference.

Also google loves unique content which is updated often so if you do that then Im sure your site will climb the rankings. Another thing is to validate your html and css as google frowns on sites with invalid html, also makes it easy for cross browser compatibility

Find the relevant link to your site. That what you should do at first.

If you want to rank high in search engine, try to focus on providing quality content to your blog and update it frequently. Build backlinks by using social bookmark, signature links, article and general directories. Be patient and gradually it will work.

gain links is a hard work, you should link from the DP or other dofollow forums.

If you are asking those on top of what keyword you are targeting and ask them to link to you, I wonder if they will grant your request since you are directly competitive. Try to look whose linking to them or some other sites related to but not directly competitive to your site.
