New to SEO: Question: Is 1on40 a scam?

Discussion in 'Search Engine Optimization' started by smoothcall6, Mar 8, 2008.

I Received this email about 1on40 and it sounds to good to be true, has anyone have solid information on if their system really works or not.

I have been working hard to get backlinks and listed in directories for my sites and I am wondering if this will help or not.

Due to my lack of experience I would like the opinion of more experienced members.

    Thanks for you help.

If it were true I'd be sending £100,000 a year to them. I'm not sending £0.01 to them. I signed up a domain that I couldn't care less about, if it gets me even in the top 10 for the keywords selected, then I'll be using it all the time.

I suspect this site just uses something like Comment Kahuna and other mass-link building software to aid you in getting slapped with the Google fish.

Oh, and on closer look at the site - since when was the BBC a search engine?

And this seems to be a competitor/hater, actually. Why the (at)? At the very least that should have been (dot).

A scam? A free service is a scam? Well, yes, it would be a scam if you were giving them your credit card details for free, or if you paid for the service. You don't pay a penny, all you do is click a few buttons, therefore it's not a scam, is it?

    Thanks,

I kinda figured that would be the response. I'll keep plugging away with my routine, seems to be working some.

    I appreciate the help.
