Someone please give me some links and your personal tips on how to rank better on yahoo msn and google. If a site is new, I heard you get in the sandbox or something? How long does that last?
Welcome to the wonderful land of SEO! It's a long and hard road.. and takes more time and patience than a lot of people have. However, you have come to the right place to check out what's going on, who's getting banned and punished. You can learn strategies from seeing where these sites have gone wrong, to improve yourself! Not the most encouraging, but one big thing to keep in mind, no one in the first spot for their keywords are going to give away all their secrets! The best thing you can do is work on building relative links to your site, fix all the errors in your code, and provide lots of quality content with updates. You may hear of things called FFA... I highly recommend to stay far far away from those things... you will get more spam than !! lol.. Best of luck to you..
The best way to learn the industry is to dive in with one foot and test everything for yourself. I say one foot because I don’t think you should set an advertising budget for link development until you come to terms with on-site and off-site optimization. Even after you toss the other foot in and start actively buying links be prepared for a learning curve and a low initial ROI.
Here's a link to a very good article on the subject. http://www.bruceclay.com/web_rank.htm As far as the 'sandbox' goes, it can vary wildly. I've heard anything from a few weeks to 6 or 8 months. Mine was in for about 2 mos. Guess it's all part of paying your 'dues' to be on the #1 search engine.

I got a bunch of domains that are going to expire later this month, should I renew them? Since they're at least 1 year old, would they get indexed fastere by search engines?
I think you should renew them and keep them with you. Develop sites and earn revenue. If you don't have time then sell them. Do not let old domains expire. Old domains have more weight in SE's eye.
I am also new to SEO. Starts with reading e-books and some little experiments. Need leran more to be a proffessional SEO. Trying some new idea's about SEO. Hope I will find some better tips on SEO
