Ok heres my deal, I really want to get my site ranked with just one keyword. My site is already indexed, but this keyword is key to me (lol)

so if users search the keyword I want, I want my site to be on the first page (of course it won't do better than the actual keyword itself, the keyword I want is a site, and of course it won't outrank wikipedia)

But my competitor is actually on the first page of Google with this keyword. I want to outrank his ass.

Can somebody point me into the right direction for some good tuts on this?

How hard is it? How long would it take? And if I were to pay someone to do it, how much would it cost (I would need someone from the US to do the SEO for me)

    Thank you!!!!!!!!!

The question you ask is not scalable and therefore cannot be answered.

You will have to find out how much competition there is for the keyword you wish to rank for...
