Hi all, I'm a bit new to Adwords and PPC campaigns in general. I've created a test landing page (here) and would really appreciate some opinions. The aim is to get people to fill in the form, so I therefore made a standalone page (i.e. its not within the main site) and doesn’t have any side menus etc. I thought that putting the landing page within the main framework of the site may encourage people to click away from the form. Is this a good idea? At the same time, the lack of information on the page means that it is simple but that some people may click away because they are looking for information!? Any thoughts appreciated. --------------------- Dave
First off, the landing page is slow... More tips: 1. Try using a beneficial headline like "Attract Customers with Promotional USB Drives" 2. Do NOT use CAPTCHA 3. Change the button text to "Get a Free Quote Now >" 4. Use a pull down menu for the storage amounts 5. Separate the form into 3 'steps' (even if on the same page): 1. Your info, 2. Product info, 3. Comments 6. Try placing the form on the left and the "info" on the right 7. Make the site *dynamic* to reflect the search query the user used on Google (USB Drive/Thumb Drive/...) This turned out to be a "7 quick and dirty tricks to boost conversions on your site" kind of reply ... Good luck! PS. I also recommend using www.CrazyEgg.com to track use behavioral on the site, and keep on testing it using Google's Website Optimizer. - Ran
Wow, ranarusi' got it all covered. Very good advices there ranarusi, you really know what you're talking about.

Some more advice (which can be useful for you): * I think you should not put the form before the products. Users always want to see the info/products/services (for what they are looking) in first glance when they land on your site. * Page loading time is very long. Also, the page is not professionally designed. Products are very scattered. It should be properly managed & appealing. * Detailed product descriptions should be there. * You should highlight your USP. See you are selling something & you should make your visitors know why they should purchase from you. * There is no need of using CAPTCHA All the best!!
I agree with those above. Your USP is so important. Try now I have no idea why I am putting my info into your site instead of the 1000's like it. -Patz
Don't forget, if you have a google account to use Google Optimizer. You make different variations of the same page, paste a simple google code on the pages you want to be tested, run it over a period of time, and see which variation gets the best conversion. Similar to google adwords keep trying to beat your best conversion rate. Hope that helps
