I am new to PPC advertising, and was wondering which one I should try first. Is there one that is easier/cheaper that I should experiment with, or are they all pretty much the same?
anything will be preferable, it depends upon your product catalog and your website approach to the consumers. or you can try our affiliate program. check out my sig. regards Jerry
I also think adwords is a good place to start as you could also buy a voucher to increase your spending amount.
Don't start with adwords. Quality Score will kick your ass. Start with something easier and move your way up
Im new to PPC/affiliate marketing and I started with MSN adCenter, the traffic isn't too great, but good enough for me to be profitable and not throw in the towel. With virtually no experience, and no keyword research, I put together a list to promote Napster from Comission Junction. With my free $200 adCenter code, I started my campaign, and 500 clicks deep I have 40 leads with $180 spent of free money. 400 - 180 = 220 profit. It's not going to buy me anything substantial but its over 100% ROI, with only about 15 minutes of actual work. I may be lucky, I may not be, but just this minor profit has encouraged me to to immerse myself in PPC/Affiliate marketing. Do your research, I spent a long time reading what the major players in the industry have to say, and begin your trial and error. Hope this provides some insight.
I find that Adcenter interface is really confusing. The system is also buggy which makes me drop the program. Yahoo is neater than Adcenter but isn't too user friendly. Adwords is the easier to understand and set up although it may be the hardest tool to profit with.
yahoo has the least competition therefore there is more room for error. adwords will cost you more to see decent results, also don't forget live.com you can see some great ROI if you put the initial effor in good luck bud
