    Well

I have been doing web design since last 3 year. I know about PHP, Photoshop etc. However when ever I had a client who wanted SEO, I had to recommend some one.

Now I have started with some of my own sites, I am also done link building and done directory submission.

Please advice how much will directory submission help me. I have opted for a free directory submission to 500 directories. I assume at least 100 will be submissions approved.

What help can it give me to the sites.

500 directory submission is not enough try doing more.Go for Social bookmarking Article Submission.

Even you purchase some high pr quality links.

    Read the sticky thread here.

Directory submissions are okay, but not very effective.

Well I have been through all directories. I expect 100 approvals after 500 submissions. Now I want to go about link exchange. I will never go in paid link as I personally feel that its out of the ethics.

Whether you feel it's ethical or not, paying for a link from a great site is what you competitors will likely do.

To get lots of links from good sites, i recommed you write a few articles related to your market and get them submitted. I don't recommend any automated article submission software because all that I've used aren't very automated. The best solution for me has been Article Marketer, a submission service. Expensive for some, but so worthwhile. Everybody I know that uses it loves it, I recommend it to you too.

besides being active on off-page activities, be more active on on-page factors as well.

try having a blog in your website n be regular in posting keyword rich posts. You will see the difference.

If you can't post, ask 2-3 people to be active authors and have them post regularly.

why do you want to limit yourself?

more backlinks is allways better. never stop submitting your sites to the directories

I really liked the suggestion of putting up a blog on my site. Now when I will have a blog then I will have to write for it. I can use the same articles for various article directories and hurray we have both on page and off - page optimization.

    Thanks for all your help.

Well, how do I add a bookmarking link? I think this is a great way for new publishers to take.

you could buy a package in the service sections.
