Hi, I've done a lot of PPC and many different types of bum marketing but this week is my first time on ezinearticles. They don't let you throw in links like I usually do so I'm wondering is a 10% ctr normal or should I tweak it? (all four of my articles have either 10 or 11% ctr).
I suggest tweaking it... You should be able to get 30 to 40%... I definitely wouldn't settle for anything less then 20-25% CTR though.
Hell, to be honest, I'm doing something wrong, I get around 5% but then again I've been bullshittin lately and not taking things seriously with bum marketing!
I'm certainly no expert on the matter, but my least successful article brings in almost 20% CTR last time I bothered to check it. Review your article for content, readability and actual subject matter. Some topics seem to lend themselves to better CTR. If the content and niche is solid, try looking over your resource box. It took me a while to really develop a technique for creating a successful resource box. For starters, give the AIDA technique a try. Attention Interest Desire Action Grab the reader's attention, pique their interest, make them want whatever information you're offering, then create a strong call to action. Like I said, I'm no expert, but I think the above tips should be a good starting point for improving your CTR. Please excuse any typos lol Toodles!
Most of mine are around 40-60%. You need to make the reader feel comfortable, but also you need to subtly leave things open, leave unanswered questions. This is likely to increase there clicks. Good Luck
10% is considered average over the long run. It can definitely be improved though. The highest click through rates come due to SE traffic. It doesn't matter how good or bad the actual resource box is.
DON'T DO IT! LOL, I've tried Facebook. Although I haven't made any conversions in article marketing and ONE conversion out of 1.4M(illion) impressions on Facebook, I went through $250 on Facebook and only converted $19.00 --- DON'T DO IT!
