Greetings and thanks in advance for your comments :)

I am new to ecommerce and wanted to see where I should go from here.

    1) I have a url, dropshipper and a decent niche product
    2) I have a yahoo store being developed
    3) I am a long time affiliate site owner (mostly poker and casino)

Where do I start this journey ?

Start by hanging ut where your target market hangs out.

    Look at groups, forums...

Also try to go viral as soon as you can. Look at affiliates. Join one of the larger established affiliate networks, clickbank, cj, linkshare et al...

See if you can push your product through existing channels. Who are the guys currently rankng for your keywords? Partner with them...

    Hope this helps...

    Thanks for the input.

The product is not digital, i wonder if setting up an affiliate program would be worthy with a real product....

You could set up a shopping cart. Many hosts come with automatic script installers to do so. My favorite is osCommerce.

Once you have your site set up a good way to send a lot of targeted traffic to it is article writing. If you search the forums I am sure that you can find more information on it.

Set up the affiliate, link to your drop shopper, market your site and watch the cash roll in.

Agreed. Most people a lot of times don't feel comfortable purchasing products from a poorly designed site. A well designed site is a sign of presence in the internet world.
