    1. If you accept credit cards directly at your site you DO need an SSL.

    The cart you use will also need to be PCI-DSS (Payment Card Industry - Data Security Standard) and PA-DSS (Payment Application - Data Security Standard) These were created to help organizations and businesses that process card payments prevent credit card fraud, hacking and various other security vulnerabilities and threats.

    Check to make sure CubeCart is.

    2. I believe you will still need an SSL for this payment method.

    3. Most payment processing companies can set up accounts for you to use on more than 1 website.
