Hi, I'm just now looking at becoming involved with Commission Junction as a Publisher. I've got some basic questions I hope someone can help me with: 1. When I sign up, it asks me for the domain name of one website. Once I sign up and am approved, can I add new websites to my CJ account, or do I need to sign up all over again for each new domain? 2. On first sign-up, if I choose to be paid by check, can I change it to direct deposit later? 3. Before I sign up, is there a list or directory of potential advertisers I can browse? 4. Any important Do's or Don'ts for CJ that you more experienced people can share with me?
Hi Corwin When you sign up use the website you want them to evaluate, when you are all signed up then you will be able to add your websites in, just go to the account tab and then there will be a subtab and click website settings. You can change from check to direct deposit as you see fit. I would suggest you sign up for cj you will not be dissapointed. They have what over 2000 different merchants, enough to satisfy what ever niche you are doing.... Important do's is read and understand TOS, do not spam, do talk with the merchants you choose, if you do well with a certain merchant I highly suggest you ask them for a raise. Alot of merchants will make pages for you if your coding sucks you just need to ask. If you are going to use ppc make sure the merchant allows for it, sometimes they don't like it. When you are signed up for CJ go to CJU online it is free and well worth the time reading it. And as always come here for questions anyone here will help you out if we know.... Best of luck in your venture. Jodyq
Make sure that if you advertise that you use proper keywords, direct visitors to your landing page, develop a relationship with your affiliate managers. That's just some basic stuff... hope it helps.
Developing a relationship with your affiliate managers can be very handy. Several of my affiliate managers have provided me with custom designed creatives at no charge.
