    Hey There
I only recently signed up to CJ, i was hoping to use it on my site and earn some moderate income for it (i don't want huge amounts) but i don't know how i should encourage sales / leads?
I mean, i've seen all these solution things, and i don't like them, I wanted to work with sections of my website, and monetize them somewhat. I've got some niche adsense sites and stuff, but further than that, I don't know what to do, I mean, for instance, the eBay programme. If someone is interested in eBay, they type eBay into google. and they get eBay. Not my affiliate coded site, that's what I don't get :(
    Any advice would be appreciated!

That's where you're missing the point. People don't type eBay into Google, they type their niche product that they're looking for in Google. Your site could come up for that product keyword. On your site you'd be talking about it, etc and have a link that goes to eBay with your tracking code. The user clicks that link and cookie is added. They buy anything in 7 days from eBay, you'll get a commission. If they register (new to eBay) within 30 days, you'll get $25 for ACRU.

I have a ton of advice, but the best thing I can recommend is for you to download my free eBook Triangle Marketing which deals with Commission Junction. See my signature....

ALSO the easy thing to make money with is eBay and the way to do eBay is BANS and yes I have a eBook and a series of Videos available for 7$ USD. See sig as well.

    Anyway Good luck

I wouldn't bother with those BANS things, or with eBay really myself.

I think you're better off only choosing stuff that your site is related too, just using a few little banners here and there and maybe some unobtrusive text link in articles. The only good performing CJ affiliates for me have been dating sites and spiritual things, tarot card and psychics on a site I have about dreams. It help if your visitors are already half sold on the subject when they get to your site, which is why it's better to use related ads and text links etc. CJ isn't an easy system to make money with though if your site is small, new and doesn't have very many visitors. There are ways to make more money with CJ if you obsess about it, using pay per click campaign to get people to your site and sort of juggle the costs untill you're making more from CJ than the amount you're paying Google Adwords, or whoever, to get visitors to your pages with CJ ads on.

So for USD7 i get enough to make a site which covers eBay bans, and i can then use affiliate linking for them to sign back up? That sounds a bit... against eBay rules to me ;)
Edit - Stupid me, disregard that, Just realised what BANS is ;)
    Sorry ;P

I have a multi-prong approach to CJ. I do use BANS as part of some websites and I also target specific advertisers and their products to individual niche pages.

Everything depends upon the niche. For example if your site is about game consoles, a BANS store might make sense - there are probably a lot of game systems related items sold on eBay. If it is about dating, then a specific CJ advertiser that promotes a dating service makes more sense.

Think about your niche and think about what a visitor and buyer might be looking for when they get to your site and then chose your CJ product to match that "visitor."
