Hello, I have recently entered into the world of digital marketing and e-commerce. My previous background was more offline marketing and promotions. I am setting up a website using Magento, as part of my role in a local sports brand. I also am expanding my knowledge on social media (twiter, facebook linkedin primarily, a bit of YouTube) and online marketplaces (eBay and Amazon) so i can use them to increas traffic to the new website, and obviously increase online sales. I have had training in SEO and a little bit on HTML coding, but they are two areas i also wish to progress in. If anyone has any general tips or pearls of knowledge that would aid my journey, i would be very grateful to hear it. I am looking into starting a blog on blogger or wordpress soon just to get more insight from other bloggers and articles and record my own observations as I move along this path. One specific query I do have- I am considering joining a institute and want to know which would be the best (or if it is worth it)- the one I have looked at is Digital Marketing Institute, but would like to get feedback on whether this is he best option, or if there is any better ones to research into. I am new to this Forum too but I am already having so much fun connecting with other people that have the goals I have. Let me give you couple of great tips; If you want to see faster results online then you want to work in a team. You want to work with a group of people that have the same goal you have because together you will take bigger steps. A self-hosted site will allow you to do whatever you want and publish any type of content you want. You will also get 100% of the revenue that you create. You can use the other Free Blog sites to promote your main site. That is what I do. SEO is not complicated at all - it is actually easy to understand and do. All it really takes is consistency and investing in the right tools to see the results you want to see. An offer that will solve your lead's problems. A team of people that have the same goals as you do. An accountability partner. You know, I dropped out of High School in 10th grade and got my GED 2 years later. I didn't even go to college - all of the knowledge I know today I learned it online. You don't need to spend hundreds in College or Institutes. If you follow this - then there is now way you will not get any results. If I was to invest in education, I would not go to an institute or college. I would spend less getting better training online. You can literally learn all you need to know right now to start earning money online as soon as you decide to for less than what you will spend on a date with a hot girl. I'm serious man!
