I have no experience with blogs, but I am going to give it a shot to see if i can earn a few extra bucks in adition to what I am earning already with Adsense. My question is, what free blogs are there out there that are easy to put adsense on. Any recommendations would be appreciated.

I think Wordpress is a favorite.. Blogger is also good if you dont want to worry about doing pesky backups and things like that..

wordpress is great. I used blogger before. Blogger is really easy to add adsense on, but it is a MUCH less powerful blogging platform. So in the long run you may get lass traffic. The plugins you can get for wordpress are great for SEO and tons of other stuff as well...

If you don't want spend on hosting and domain then blogger is the best option, else your own domain, hosting and wordpress script.

You don't need to know any HTML/PHP to successfully run a wordpress blog, nowhere are you required to edit the files manually, unless you are trying to edit the template. All the plugins and templates are easy to use and install, most of them only require you to click on the activate link!

Thanks for all the info. I'm going to create one when I get some time tonight. One more question. Which blog platform is a community and generates traffic to your blog from within the community?

I would suggest wordpress if you're in it for the long term. Let's say down the road your site becomes successful, and you get a ton of traffic. Then you want to move onto your own dotcom. Then you can't backup your database and move your old posts over to a new server.

Wordpress also has more functionality and you can add many themes and addons to it. It's quite robust and is a favorite in the industry.

As the others i would suggest wordpress, one because it is easy to install and use, it can easily be managed and make it se friendly and because you have billions of FREE skins to download and use for your blog/site.

Some source to find free wordpress themes:
    http://themes.wordpress.net
    www.wpskins.org
    http://themes.blogflux.com/wordpress
    http://www.dnseo.net/category/free-wordpress-themes/

and much more resource, just search in Google (or any other search engine) for "free wordpress themes" or "wordpress themes" and you will find all what you need.

Hi. Regarding wordpress- is it a host or a script ? For example, if I own a domain name : Superblog.com (i don't actually), can I host the site myself and use the wordpress to create/manage/edit the site? Or is wordpress a host so the site would be like. www.superblog.wordpress.com ?? Thanks !!

PS. I am looking for a blog script to use and host on my own domain name. Any recomendations ?? (if wordpress doesn't do this)

    Thanks !

but when you switch you need to start over from an SEO standpoint. Wordpress is not THAT hard that a newbie can't use it...
