New to blogging!

Hey all,

I am very new to blogging. I didnt have made my blog yet + i dont know how to make a blog. I tried once, i uploaded a blog to my site. But i was not knowing what to put it it now. I am very very new to blogging. I am interested in blogging, because now a days blogs are making much $$ + blogs are getting much visitors too.

Please help me get a touch with blogs .

Go to blogger.com and open a blog. Just follow the instructions and you will have a blog.

It helped me alot. But i cant use Blogger's blog :S. I will try using a blog @ mywebsite.com. Beacuse Blogger's blogs are blocked for Pakistan.

Which Blogs software is the best? And the other question is that i have a domain > webmastershock.com < . Is this eligible for a webmasters blog?

Any domain can have a blog on it. It comes down to what your hosting provider allows. If your provider has MYSQL + PHP support then you would definately want to look at Wordpress.

It is very easy to install and many folks here use it.

You have some error on the domain, looks like a MySQL issue. Are you trying to install a blog but cant?

My server supports anything PHP+MYSQL+..... I shall go with wordpress. But the other question i have is that is webmastershock should be used as my personal blog?

 

What do you mean by personal blog. You can have anyone signup on your blog which will make a big difference in traffic. You will get posts by other people which will help you increase content. I think you should go public rather than personal.

 

If you are going to be a real blogger. Get hold of WordPress. It's the best piece of blogging software that you can find today.

One of the main things is that it has lots of plugins, and you'll see they'll come to useful.

 

Yeah, my bro is using WPress for his tutorials site, he changed Wpress layout to a tutorial site, using alot of Add-ONS. He added alot of hand features. I am going with WordPress now .

You can really pick out any domain name that makes sense for your blog.

If you have a good cpanel from your host, there should be something called Fantastico. Click that and you will see a bunch of blog/CMS options that Fantastico will install for you. I have tried Wordpress (this one is THE standard for blogging) and also B2Evolution, which I like because it is very customizable. Both are good.

 

WordPress is usually much easier to manage than b2evolution.
b2evolution is good, but lack plugins.
