So new that I havent even started yet!!
I am looking to start making money online through blogging. I understand that this takes a lot of work and upkeep and will not happen overnight but I had a quick question regarding content; I have a newborn baby and a toddler so as you can imagine I dont have a lot of free time on my hands at the moment so is it possible to get content for my blog quickly without having to put in too much time? Or is it maybe an idea for me to purchase a fully functional/automated wordpress blog from the likes of ebay that updates itself on a regular basis that I would just have to promote and maybe make some changes here and there?
I hope this makes sense and thanks in advance for any info

    J xx

ok I think this is a very good idea to try and earn by blogging. But buddy it's not that easy as it hears but not that tough. I have described some processes step by step how you will begin and become a successful blogger

    1. At first make a good looking blog (should use wordpress and there are 1000's of free themes you can coose 1 from them)

    2. Write some informative, unique content (You must be aware about the content it must be copyscape passed and UNIQUE )

    3. Then you start promoting to get your blog popular

    4. do SEO to get a PR (Google Page Rank)

After you complete these steps you will see you have started getting decent traffic (probably 100-200/day, depends on SEO and PROMOTION).

After you get the PR then you can earn by selling links and posts.

I forgot to tell about adsense If you can drive good traffic then you can earn a good amount of money from adsense too.

    thanks.

    Hi,

In my experience blogging can be a big time commitment. You mentioned that you had kids to also consider in this. I think if you were just trying to generate content that would be one thing. But your trying to do it all yourself; content, marketing, tech side. I think a lot of this depends on how comfortable you feel with the material? Can you generate unique content quickly? How much time in your day do you have to dedicate marketing your blog? Hopefully you're really passionate about the material you've chosen for your blog so that anytime you spend on it will be joyful.

    Best Wishes,
    Megan

Blog about motherhood, Children, family. that way you are getting content all day long. Auto blogs are not going to do well over the long haul.

One thing I always say the freshie bloggers - Do not start stuffing your blog with Ads the day one you started it.
    1. Start a blog
    2. Write quality and unique contents - could be about anything you enjoy. But do not steal the content or rewrite it.
    3. Gain some decent amount of visitors
    4. Now you can consider ads.

If people find ads all over with no content they would never bother clicking on it or visit back your blog.

    My two cents!

Wow. I see that you are really new and that youreally wanna nake extra cash. I will advice that in addition to creating your own blog and working for its traffic, you can also take advantage of sites like xomba.com, and bloggerparty.com. They will pay you half the money you will earn from google adsense with your blogs.

    Jayllie,
Congrats on your newborn baby... I am new at website/blogging too. Wordpress has great themes. I would suggest finding a quiet time in your day (I love mornings, 5:00 am is my quiet time) and devote an hour or more each day to just working on your blog. Good luck!!

Its always good to get others ideas but trust me, you learn more and better by colliding head on with it yourself. Try this and that... and having a baby is a great note of inspiration and if you ask me, that would make you work with more commitment on your blog and trust me , to start a blog or an empire of it.. everything is secondary but commitment.

    ALl the best !

I suggest starting out writing about your life as a mom. Mom bloggers are very respected in the blogging community. Also you could easily come up with content as you would be writing about your day or recent events.

It sounds like blogging is not for you, you are misunderstanding the whole point of blogging.

If you cant put in the time then i would not recommend starting one.

Blogging was never suggested to be used for money making.

Money, if any at all, comes later, most people dont want to take the time to post on their own blogs, even when they do have the time.

I am a mom blogger and have just started to see an income from my blog after 1 1/2 years of writing. I didn't start out to make money, it was a hobby at first. But it has grown to be quite a job. I do reviews & giveaways now, which keeps me busy. I also sell ads, both graphic & text which helps a lot; I don't feel so bad devoting time to my blog when it does actually pay me. Being a mom blogger, you can talk about so many things from kids, marriage, family to your favorite dish soap or how your toilet is blocked. It's day to day life that makes mom blogs interesting.
