I'm new to blogging and need to learn some good ways to get my blogs seen. How do you get good traffic to a blog? I've seen blog submitters, free and paid. The free ones I'm a little skeptical of. Please let me know some good ways to get blog traffic! What works for you? Thank you! Beth
Post good content regularly on your blog, comment on other related blogs, submit to web directories for backlinks to increase your serps for relevant keywords and phrases.
It depends on what your niche is, I for example have this blog (http://phonuts.org/) about photoshop tutorials. I submit all my tutotirlas to tutorial directories and that's how I get my traffic. After a while I got more and more traffic from search engines... There are a lot of different ways to promote your blog but the most important thing is that you target visitors who are interested in your content exactly like I did! Maybe you can look for directories in your niche and submit your site to that? I've also used some of those free tools you mentioned and they didn't help at all... You could also buy traffic or exchange links (check out the sub-forums of DP)... That also helped me building up traffic! Regards.
First of all you need quality content and you need to update it regularly. Then you need to find relevant blogs and comment on their most recent posts. Join social media like StumbleUpon and Twitter nad find your audience there. Post in relevant forums. Offer to write guest articles at some of the biggest blogs in your niche.
Submit your site to blog and rss feeds to directories. Blogcatalog is a good one for blogs. Submit your post to social bookmarking sites.

If you have more indexed pages (google indexed)....you get wonderful traffic from search engine itself....If you want to have a decent google indexed web pages...you need to have lots of content (quality content will get you returning viewers)....make your blog search engine friendly (learn seo site map and such things).....keep blogging....do some research on blogging...participate in forums....Do comment on your fellow bloggers articles (genuine).....in a few months..you'll get to know what blogging is all about and how it really works....hope it helps Good luck to you DPJose
First you have to focus on content. Good quality content attracts traffic like magnet. Next thing is to have email subscription on ur site so that you retain visitors with a hook. Just try social bookmarking and you will be good. Comment marketing may help if u r new to industry.

Good, reliable content that makes others link back to you naturally is a great way to increase traffic. Especially if you can get a link from one of the "big names" in you niche.
Content: get some articles up on article directories about the "niche" you are doing. if you wanted to post them on your blog turn them 50% different in content keyword research: see what keywords you need to target. and write content around them. in the past i have done a google search of keywords for my sites and found that it was quicker to deal with 1 million rather 20 million in the results. when completed i targeted the 20 million ones... forums: get in the forums that are related to your niche build a link exchange/submit page. then look at other sites relates to you and link exchange with them. do 1 or 2 a day. make this a consistant campaign. dont do 14 in a day and walk away for a week... Content is king. Exceptional (not just good) content will bring people people back and get them to tell their friends about you. The other ideas (directories, paid traffic, posting in other blogs) etc, are all very useful as well but the best traffic is earned by exceptional content. Exceptional content is not just practical and unique but has style. It emotionally engages the reader. It "connects" with them and starts a relationship. The search engines love this kind of unique content and reward you for it. Produce exceptional content!
