New to Amazon, any tips?

Hey guys,
spent some time poking around didn't find much of this. MY site is not dedicated to Amazon, but I want to have a recommended reading page, and maybe a few intext links to some products.

Any tips?

For recommended reading page, is it better to have book covers, or text links?

For in text / in content text links, do I put an (aff) or not, I heard different recommendations from diff people.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

my personal advice is try both, then you can go wrong!

 

I have been hearing that their are certain items that are HOT still haven't found them myself though.

 

Here are a two

1. Do not try to sell books. To little profit.
2. Use content links and naturally incorporate them into your writing. Goes a longer way in generating a sale as opposed to a simple ad

Use lots of different affiliate codes so you can track different kinds of links and see what works. For in-post links, also consider adding a "Buy this from Amazon" link as almost a footer to those posts.
