    Hello guys,

I'm new to affiliate marketing. I am totally unsure about how it works and how much I need to invest in it. I just bought sales page templates and I've also decided the product to promote. But, I have a few questions to ask,

    1) I am thinking of promoting a single product on my website through the sales page. Is that how it works? Or you guys promote different products of the same niche on the same website?

    2) What are the tools that I need for affiliate marketing. I have a CB account, templates ready and the product to be promoted also ready. I don't understand why people recommend auto responders, newsletters and things. So please let me know the list of things I will need for starting affiliate marketing.

    3) I want to know how to write a sales page. I want to see some examples of how people promote affiliate products.

    Your answers will be appreciated.

    Many thanks

I'm just starting out my affiliate webpage, however you can look at my webpage for a model. If you join affiliate programs, you should put banners/ads in your website and if you supply a link list like I do, add your affiliate links. Thats just one technique and there is many more.

People use the newletters and rss feeds to ensure the readers that the your website has a new update and such. This is one technique so that the viewers will come back to your website.

As for your question of the products we promote, usually we promote many different things, however it still corresponds to the niche we have chosen. So if your niche is video games, don't add an advertisement about writing blogs and add certain ads that is relevant to your niche such as books on video games and etc.

I'm pretty new to Affiliate Marketing myself. I've been reading about it in forums for years, but I just started really getting active a few months ago. I am promoting a few of the training resources that have helped me on my site true-reviews.org.
I spent way too much time messing around on forums before I decided to just chalk it up and pay for a little step-by-step training.
The basics you're going to need to learn are writing effective sales copy(high converting) and generating targeted traffic. You can cruise forums for days trying to figure it out on your own or you can get advice from some people who you know are actually practicing what they preach.
As far as newsletters and email lists go. You want to capture your customer's info because
    1) people normally don't make purchase decisions right away so you send them a few emails to get a few cracks at the sale. I've read 7 contacts is average.
    2) You will have future products that your customers may also enjoy, so you'll want to be able to make them offers later on down the road.

I hope this was helpful. Feel free to PM me.

To my mind you can promote different products of the same niche on the same website. Just create separate page for each product and write a review of each one. And then you have to maintain promotion of the chosen products, drive traffic to your landing pages and make it convert. Don't forget to use different SEO tactics like building backlinks, keywords and so on to drive targeted traffic to your website. Good luck!
