New to AdWords, Puzzled. Help?

I am new to AdWords and got $150 worth of free vouchers when I started my account. My ads have been running for three days now and I have had 1,837 impressions (my three ads combined).

In three days, 2,000 impressions is a lot, at least I thought? I've only had ONE click though and it didn't convert. I know I may be prematurely worrying, but I thought I'd ask for some advice.

My bounce rate is 0% according to Google Analytics, but I'm not getting any hits and was hoping AdWords would help alleviate that.

    Any help would be appreciated!

    Thanks

Turn off the content network (that's the adsense that appears on blogs etc).
That's where the huge number of (fairly untargeted) impressions comes from. Run a report on where those ads have appeared and I wouldn't be at all surprised if the majority haven't all been on one site.
When you've done that, you can get a clear look at how your keywords are - or aren't - appearing on search, and make adjustments

Oh I see, so people aren't really seeing a lot of these on search engines?

Is it better to turn them off? I mean at least they are getting shown, right?

Well, yes - but nobody is clicking on them, so they're pointless. If you want the content network on, then have it as a separate campaign, write ads specifically for that channel, choose keywords in themes - that's how content uses them- (not the same way that search does) - and run regular reports on where the ads are shown, because they will be on some totally inappropriate sites that it's best to block.

Now you kind of lost me, I'm new to AdWords and I don't know how to see where people are viewing my ads. I have tried searching Google through a proxy to view my ads on search results but I never see them.

Use this to see your ads
    https://adwords.google.co.uk/select/AdTargetingPreviewTool
They won't show every time you search unless your daily budget is large enough to justify triggering an ad everytime that search time is used. If it isn't they'll be shown at intervals throughout the day.
To see where your ads are being shown on the content network go to the tab at the top called Reporting> Reports>Create a new report>Placement Report

    Yes, what will?

& @Magda - Thank you so much for all your input and advice. It's helped a great deal and I've fixed the crazy impressions from porno sites! Thank god for that.

    Thanks again!
