Hi guys, im new to adwords only just started using for my Aff marketing, i was linking directly to my aff link, but now im linking to a review site, its been up now for about a week, and in total ive ha like 5000 impressions and 10 clicks which seems wrong... my average add rank is 5.4, am i doing something wrong? If you have any other tips please let me know!
There are a few things you can do, 1) Optimize your review/landing page for your keyword, so you'll be ranked higher. 2) Pay a higher CPC. I am not sure which niche you are targeting, however, an average rank of 5.4 and 10 clicks out of 5000 isn't that bad.
You can also make your ad more relevant. Make sure that you have your keywords in your ad, and break your keywords into specific ad groups. Don't put too many keywords in the same ad group, even if they are pointing to the same place. For example, lets take dog training. If you have an ad on dog training and your keywords are: dog training online, training dogs online, dog training on internet, training dogs on internet Break that down into 2 different ads, with the first 2 keywords in one ad, and the second to in another. You want your keywords to be VERY similar. When you break your keywords down like that, it is easier to put the exact keywords in the ad. You then give people the exact keywords that they were looking for, which will improve your CTR, lower adspend, and improve your profits. Not to mention when you have your exact keywords in your ad, it also bolds the words which will also improve all the above. Hope that helps.
