new to adsense

    hello, i just started with adsense yesterday, i run and create games for a free flash game site. (just started) I had a few questions about adsense and was hoping you could clarify a few things for me.

    1. One of my pages is showing good links, the other is still showing the PSA's. When I originally uploaded the page it had no text (it just showed a flash movie) so of course it got PSA's. Then once i realized how this worked, I copied the text from the "good" page to the "game" page changed it a bit then reuploaded. However it still shows PSA's.

    The page is dynamic and the url changes, is that the problem? For example :
    http://tech7design.com/games/playGame.asp?game=archingBovine is the ACTUAL url of the the game. The ad's are placed on http://tech7design.com/games/playGame.asp and the "?game=archingBovine" just specifies the game to be shown, does that screw up adwords?

    part two,
    is there a way to ask google to "re-scan" a page to update the ad's being shown. IE if i add more content and the content changes what i think should be shown, then how do i re-submit the page to be be-robot....ed.

    final part-
    is there anyway to see how much i get per click per ad?

    thank you much !

    Let answer the easy part first. You will get daily statistic which will show the number of clicks and the earns per day. If you divide the earnings by the number of clicks you get the average payment per click.

    Now as to getting the PSA ads removed or updated I think it is just a matter of time. You could try removing the code and then placing it again.

    I've been using AdSense for a long time and I find PSA ads on some of my pages from time to time, but I don't worry about it. It usually is changed by the next time I check.

    Hi,
    can't answer all your questions but

    <title>undiluted games | flash games</title>
    <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=iso-8859-1">

    <link href="style.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css">
    </head>
    taken from
    http://tech7design.com/games/playGame.asp?game=archingBovine

    Not much for ADS to go by...... althoug they are the same crawlers ADS may not read flash.

    Pages show no PR and basic site only shows pr3 when prefixed with www
    (DNS or mod_rewrite 301 redirect?)

    Give ADS more food like css styled & positioned text below the fold which may also be of interest to your visitor and bring up the PR. PR5/6 more or less guarantees a full daily scan / slurp.

    Use of Shawns sandbox lets you try before going live.

    As I have medium-high pr pages I usually see media-bot within 5 minutes of releasing a new page and it always sorts itself out after a day.

    Hope it helps a bit

    Also, you don't have to run PSA ads, you can choose an alternate add of your choice when you build the AdSense code.

    first off, to try and remove the "dynamic url" issue, i have changed the game page to a static url.

    expat, could you please clarify a few things for me?

    what does the Pages show no PR and basic site only shows pr3 when prefixed with www
    (DNS or mod_rewrite 301 redirect?)
    mean?

    What is PR?

    also what / where is Shawns Sandbox?

    OK last first PR is PageRank the value Google lets mortals see which reflects what G thinks of the basic importance of a page.
    (If you need more on this just search)

    Depending on how you have set up your DNS (Domain name server) or the entries in the DNS you use, both entries for a domain may work
    www.mydomain.com and mydomain.com (which in your case they do) this is not a problem but it takes search engines a while to sort out that both are actually the same.

    So in the beginning a link to mydomain.com is not counting to www.mydomain.com thus one needs to be carefull when asking for links and when establishing the internal linkage.

    Can be changed by using mod_rewrite or change DNS entries.

    cheers

    ok, thanks for the info (great tool shawn) how did you test my PR? Im working on more games now, so hopefully that will raise my PR some.
    Question : i wanted to add a popup on exit or something from another ad company. would google have any problems with that?

    Yeah, I think they would... part of their terms and conditions on adsense is no pop-ups or framing when a user clicks on a Google ad.

    FYI - the only way to raise your PR is by getting more links. Simply adding content to your site will not raise your PR.
