new to adsense

This is my first time using Adsense and I need some help.

I created the ad unit through "Manage Ads"

It gave me a code which I placed on my new website. But the ad isn't appearing.

Do I have to verify my website? No where on adsense did it ask for my site url...

 

Sometimes it can take a couple of hours for the ads to show up.

I've also noticed that certain coding can prevent the ad to show up as well.

But i say wait an hour or two, and then you should be good.

 

Well my sites just a phpbb forum so coding shouldnt be a problem.

Also, Can I place the same ad code multiple times like on top of the site and on bottom or does each ad unit be placed only once

 

I see. I use XMB and it took about an hour to start showing up.

I want to say you can only place a maximum of 3 google ads per page, anything extra becomes nullified. I could be wrong though.

 

That's it. You have to wait a couple hour for approval.

 

After creating ads and getting the code, it takes a couple of hours before the it became visible to your page.
