    Hi all,

    I'm new to Adsense and I'd like reviews of my site and how I've added the Adsense and Google Search box to it.

    At the moment none of the Adsense ads have anything to with the subject of the site at least from what I've seen and I hope that'll change.

    I'm not looking to make a lot of money just some to go towards the cost of my website host.

    URL is: http://www.bitterwisdom.com/ladyjanegrey/

    I do have the ads at the very top of the pages, are they not showing up?

    And could you explain what you meant about the width of the table? It looks fine on my end, but it would be helpful to know what others are seeing.

    in reply to your PM (posting hear case anyone else is confused)

    you have got

    <TABLE border="1" cellpadding="1" cellspacing="0" width="100%">

    You should try

    <TABLE border="1" cellpadding="1" cellspacing="0" width="728">

    And maybe remove the google search from the home page, don't you want people to enter your site? Give them the option to search once they are in.

    WOuld also move the ads down to:

    <b><TD valign="top" width="15%"><CENTER>
    #######HERE######
    <form action="http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/external-search">

    So they are not at the very top, I posted some code in another thread on how to align images aobove this new ad format, why not give it a go.

    nice, don't you think?

    hows about moving that animated stats gif to the bottom of the page (it is not needed a the top)

    Adding a <br> between the "Updated February 12, 2005: The 451st Anniversary of Lady Jane Grey Being Executed." and the image. (makes it easier to read)

    Changing "Click Image to Enter" to "ENTER" and making both the image AND the word "ENTER" a link (cos ppl will see the word "ENTER" but "Click the image to enter" they might miss)

    Hi. When I went to the site, I had to look hard to see the google ad. I suspect some kind of ad blindness. I think you have so many pictures and ads that they distract you and force your eyes to look in many places at the same time. My experience has been to place google ads at the top of website in plain site and to make the site easy to look at.

    Hope this helps

    Niceee. However, you can work harder on the design.

    The "all black" layout isn't helping - you need to redesign your site with friendlier colors.
