New to Adsense : Help review my placements

    I'm pretty new to adsense, been using it for 1-2 months now, but feel that what i have done can be further improved on.

    Will appreciate all comments and suggestions. Thanks.

    It is a European football site - mainly focusing on Match previews, analysis and predictions for punters.

    The problem i am facing is that MOST of my visitors are returning visitors and they are only after the new match previews/analysis on the site.

    ** Initially I have ad links on my header, but i removed it since it isnt getting anything for a while.

    Will appreciate a review on my site too - ohyah, lol, it is the cheapo Blogger platform.

    I think it's OK. Anyway, I would use a horizontal ad link unit below the banner instead of the link unit in the individual posts. You can test this later just to see if you obtain significantly better results.

    Perhaps you can try to fit in a large rectangle format?

    You have "Punter Information" as the header for your Adsense sky. That is misleading. I would be very, very careful about that. It's dangerously close to a TOS violation.

    Does puting a picture above the Sky makes it better ? If i was to keep the Punter Information.

    Else I think i might just change the header to ... er .. Sponsers , i guess. Or, you have any suggestion ?

    BTW, how do you find the site overall, as in navigation and stuffs.

    Layout wise, it's not bad, but I'd change your "Top Reads" section with Google Adlinks, that way it's the first thing your visitor see. The sky right now is too far down and most people don't really pay attention to anything "below the fold".

    But if you really want to do some major change, I'd get rid of the sky and put a 336 box between your entries.

    Jackburton, thanks for your advise, i will try changing the Sky on to the top left. the thing is that it has been performing decent, thus i didnt think of moving it anywhere else.

    Again, I would advise that you remove the "Punter Information" info above your Google sky. It can be construed as an attempt to decieve and could get you in trouble.
