New to Adsense (and this forum) and needing advice...

First of all, hello DP members!

Ok, so I have recently created a website which I will not be giving the URL to nor the "niche" as everyone likes to call it.

I am needing advice on how to get more traffic to my site. I'm not too concerned with the ad placement, blending, etc. at this point. I just want to get more traffic at this time. I have read hundreds of threads on this site for months already but decided to join myself since I have a site going now.

The site officially went live on August 4. Here is the basic rundown on what has taken place thus far (everything is approximate):

    - 57% search engine traffic
    - about a 40 page website
    - 160 visits
    - 330 pageviews (330 impressions also of course)
    - 9 clicks
    - CTR of I guess about 2.5% - 2.7%
    - I'm averaging about 14 impressions a day from an average of 7 visitors
    - lowest click amount I've received is $1.05
    - highest click amount I've received is $3.01
    - I'm averaging about $1.75 a click to this point.

So I have done some article marketing, I have 10 live articles, I've submitted to some directories, I digg(dugg?) my site but for some reason they deleted my post and profile, I did some other social bookmarking type stuff. So, with all that said, does anyone here have some advice in terms of developing traffic naturally? I don't really want boosts of non-interested people. I do plan to add more pages to the site as time allows, probably around 100 more pages in the near future. Thanks in advance.

Edit: If I have divulged too much information in terms of stats that might be breaking some sort of G-rule, let me know please so I can adjust the post accordingly.

I don't know why they deleetd you digg profiles but digg is best way to get indexed in google easily too . I use digg for my posts and they get indexed in 2 to 3 days than do few searches and start posting comments on other blogs and you can mention your url their also if you have written something related to their posts . For more traffic you have to build links and make new friends on blog .

Yeah, I'm not sure why either. Now that is something else I was wondering. In order to post on blogs, it appears I need to own my own wordpress login or something, is that true?

And another thing, since I read on here that the pagerank update was sometime around the end of July, do the links and whatnot that I receive now help my search engine rankings or will I not notice those results until the next update?

Now i think you have to wait for next pr update but for commenting in blogs posts you don't need any log in or user id . Just you have to post comments and leave you site link their , so if their you have posted something good than other readers will sure visit your site to see that what do you write about .

Post is probably better in the SEO section since your main goal is traffic.

Try posting with a signature in MULTIPLE relevant forums. That will generate some traffic.

You might want to start looking into social networking too

Start doing link exchanges with like websites, submit to seo friendly directories, find forums related to your niche and post usefull info with a link back to your site.
    It takes time...
    But good luck

Well, the reason I posted here is because I want traffic for my Adsense. Also, I was hoping to get a bit of feedback on how my earnings per visit/impression/click or whatever is so far.
